FAQ

Q: What does 5# angle steel mean?
A: In the Chinese sizing convention, the number before “#” indicates the leg length in
centimetres — 5# means a 50 × 50 mm equal angle. The thickness is specified separately,
for example 50 × 50 × 5 mm.

Q: Can you supply unequal angle steel?
A: Yes, unequal angle steel is available against order. Send us the leg dimensions and
thickness you need.

Q: Is black angle steel the same as galvanized angle steel?
A: No. Black angle steel is hot-rolled with a mill finish. Galvanized angle steel has a
zinc coating for corrosion resistance and is quoted separately. Please specify which one
you need when inquiring.
