FAQ
Q: What is the difference between an I-beam and an H-beam?
A: An I-beam has tapered inner flange faces and a narrower flange relative to its web
height, while an H-beam has parallel flange faces and a wider flange. H-beams are more
efficient for load-bearing columns; I-beams are commonly used for beams. Confirm your
drawing with us and we will advise which section fits.
Q: Which grade should I choose, Q235B or Q355B?
A: Q235B is sufficient for standard structural framing. Choose Q355B when the structure
carries heavy loads, spans long distances, or when your engineer specifies a higher
yield strength.
Q: Can you supply perforated or cut I-beams?
A: Cutting to length is available. For drilling or punching, send us your drawing and
we will confirm feasibility and lead time.
