- Engineering grades, not just structural. Gear, bearing, spring and mould steel are supplied with the hardenability and cleanliness requirements of each grade, with Jominy or ultrasonic test reports where relevant.
- Peeled and ground bar available. For machining without a first roughing pass, bright bar is supplied to h9/h11 with defined surface roughness.
- Full traceability to heat number. MTC 3.1 to EN 10204 on every bundle, plus 3.2 with third-party inspection if you require it.
- Cut to length and bundled by diameter. Bar is sorted and labelled so that it can go straight to your machining line.
Frequently asked questions
Can you supply 42CrMo and GCr15 with test certificates?
Yes. Both are supplied with mill test certificates including chemical composition and mechanical properties. Ultrasonic testing to SEP 1921 class can be arranged on request.
What tolerance do cold-drawn bars hold?
Bright cold-drawn bar is normally supplied to h9 or h11, with h8 and ground finish available for precision applications.
Is rebar available in coils as well as straight lengths?
Yes — rebar in coils Φ6 to Φ16 mm and straight rebar Φ10 to Φ40 mm, to GB/T 1499.2, BS 4449 or ASTM A615 depending on the destination market.
How do you protect bar in transit?
Bundles are strapped and, for cold-drawn and bright bar, wrapped in VCI paper or HDPE to prevent rust during the sea voyage.
